In mid February, Netflix announced season three of the XO Kitty. This popular Netflix Original is a spin-off of Jenny Han’s To All The Boys book trilogy. Season three is set to release on April 3rd, and this past Monday, Netflix released the trailer and allowed viewers a sneak peak into the adventures that take place this season.

XO Kitty is a TV show that follows Kitty Song Covey, who is the chaotic younger sister of Lara Jean Covey. Lara Jean Covey is known as the main character in the hit book and movie trilogy by Jenny Han, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. This spin-off shows Kitty as she becomes a transfer student at a Korean school called K.I.S.S. to reunite with her long distance boyfriend and learn about her mothers past. But when things don’t go to plan, Kitty finds herself in romantic drama and a mystery that will reveal part of her mothers life that she never knew.

In the past two seasons, Kitty was on a journey of self discovery. She experienced romance in many different forms that the viewers adored. She also made new friends and went on many adventures during her junior year at K.I.S.S. Academy.

As season three begins, Kitty is going into her senior year at K.I.S.S Academy. The season three trailer simultaneously teases her blossoming romances, while also hinting at the problems that arise for Kitty in her final year of high school. The season also emphasizes family connections by revealing a surprise cameo from the infamous Lara Jean Covey in the trailer. Kitty also works to reconnect with her distant family and reconnect with her Korean culture.

Anna Cathcart, who portrays Kitty, hinted at the season by saying she was, “surprised, but also super happy with the decisions Kitty makes this season”.

International XO Kitty fan, Sophia H., commented, “I love the way they’ve developed Kitty. She’s realistic and I hope that continues in this new season.”

This season promises whirlwind romances, tearful family reunions and a story of discovery within strained family relationships. You can watch season three on Netflix on April 2nd of this year.
