Bruno Mars has been off the solo record for the past ten years. While he did collaborate with many other artists, including hit songs like “Die with a Smile” with Lady Gaga or “APT” with Rose, he hasn’t released a solo project for ten years. And recently, on January 9, Bruno Mars started off the year with a prelude, “I Just Might,” which he announced as a part of his new solo album “The Romantic”.
Bruno Mars, born Peter Gene Hernandez on October 8, 1985, in Honolulu, Hawaii, gained his fame with his debut album “Doo-Whoops & Hooligans”. His album features famous hit songs, “Just The Way You Are”, “Grenade”, “Runaway Baby”, and more. According to Billboard as of today, Bruno Mars has 9 No. 1 hit songs and 20 Top 10 Hits.
Bruno Mar’s new album will drop on February 27, and he’s received many positive as well as negative reviews about his prelude “I Just Might.” Some people online feel as if Bruno Mars’ music all sounds the same, while others claim he “never misses” with his music.
Bruno Mars also announced that his new album, ‘The Romantic,” will have a tour as well, spanning from April 10 to October 17 of 2026. He will be stopping at nearby cities like Los Angeles, California, Santa Clara, California, Glendale, Arizona, and Las Vegas, Nevada.
“The new song, ‘I Just Might’, starts off 2026 with a brand new vibe, and it really brings in a new definition of music. His music is inspiring other young artists but also giving throwbacks to those of older age, a throwback to the seventies,” says ERHS junior and aspiring artist Destiny Cofer when asked thoughts on Bruno Mar’s upcoming tour.

Bruno Mar’s new song especially has taken the ranks. It is described to have a hip-hop seventies beat to it, and the song alone speaks about dancing. Bruno Mars also released a music video of him singing and dancing in a disco room, with other edited versions of him.
“Bruno Mars’ new song is a vast difference from his old solo songs, and it pairs well with his last album with Silk Sonic. It sounds like a disco, roller rink song. I’m excited for his tour cause I might get tickets, and I can’t wait to experience the loud concert atmosphere,” shared Michon Bush.
