In a few days, “Stranger Things” season five, the last season, will be released. The season will be divided into three parts, with the first volume releasing on November 26, volume two on December 25, and the finale on December 31, New Year’s Eve. The series first aired in 2016 on Netflix, and now, in 2025, it will come to an end. Volume one will include the first four episodes, followed by volume two with three episodes, and the finale will be one episode.
The “first five minutes” for the last season already came out on November 6 on social media. The “first five minutes” is when we see the first five minutes of episode one of “Stranger Things” season five. The video revisits 1983, showing Will Byers scared and alone in the Upside Down. He gets chased by the Demogorgon and eventually gets taken to Vecna. There, Vecna’s plan to use Will as a vessel is revealed.
The series also released the titles of all the episodes. Episode one being “Chapter One: The Crawl,” two being “Chapter Two: The Vanishing of…” three called “Chapter Three: The Turnbow Trap,” four being “Chapter Four: Sorcerer,” five “Chapter Five: Shock Jock,” six “Chapter Six: Escape From Camazotz,” seven “Chapter Seven: The Bridge,” and the last episode being “Chapter Eight: The Rightside Up.” The full title of episode two has not been released to avoid spoilers.
Many “Stranger Things” fans are eager for the release of this last season, including Mila Hernandez, a freshman at ERHS.
“I’m very excited for the last season,” Hernandez said. “I want to know what the finale will look like.”
Hernandez also shared her opinion about the other seasons.
“My favorite season so far is season four, but I also like season two,” she said. “I think [season] five will be good because Vecna will be defeated.”
Kayla Newman, a junior at ERHS and a fan of “Stranger Things,” also shared her thoughts on season five.
“I hope this season will be good,” she says. “Season four was crazy and intense, so I hope that season five will be the same because I’ve been waiting for a long time.”
Newman also added her predictions for this upcoming season.
“I think one of the main characters is gonna die,” Newman said. “I hope it’s Mike because he’s been annoying and his character is a mess as of season four.”
