As the 2025/26 school year comes to an end, many people are excited for summer and ready for graduation. This year has had many fun memories and stressful nights, but now summer is just around the corner. Now, students at ERHS are looking forward to next year and more.
Next year, many juniors will be seniors and are excited for the senior activities. Many juniors have spoken about the stress of junior year, lots of testing, and lots of late-night practices. But now, next year should be much easier, and lots of fun is offered. There will be football games, senior sunrise, senior sunset, grad night, and more offered next year to celebrate the last year.
“I’m excited for my last hoco and senior grad night,” says Michon Bush, a junior at ERHS, soon to be a senior.
Many people are also just looking for a break from the schoolwork and the stress of the final run. Students are glad to finally have the testing done, and are looking forward to fun summer activities. Kids are going to be camping, going to the fair, swimming in the pool, and hanging out with friends all summer. Summer is a time to have fun and just relax, go to the beach, and have a bonfire or go outside with friends.

While the year is ending and everyone is excited, there is still the fact that many seniors are leaving. Students are now becoming adults and facing the world after their last summer. Many have many friends they are leaving behind or teachers they adore who have helped them through the year. It’s a bittersweet ending to their high school career, because every student dreams of the day of no more school. Until it actually ends and you realize how much time was spent at the school and the connections and friendships you’ve made.
The school year is ending, and kids are ready for summer, but looking back, the school year was overall fun. There were a lot of fun activities the school offers, like prom and hoco. There are movie nights, STEM hosts, and many kids have found connections through sports.
“I play girls lacrosse here, and I’m going to miss my seniors,” says Tori Hashimoto, a junior at STEM, “We had an amazing season and lots of fun. I loved the bus rides after games and all the nights spent practicing with everyone.”
The school year is ending, and it’s been a good year. There was lots of fun made, despite the sleepless nights kids have pulled to study or get an assignment done on time. Students are tired but ready for the next year to make new memories. Seniors are leaving and starting their lives, and soon everyone will reach that stage. But for now, enjoy the time you have now.
