Even if you don’t like sports, there are always some clips you find interesting. That’s due to movies and sports being very similar because they can lure the audience in with a cliffhanger. Sports become especially interesting when there’s little to no time left, and both teams are close to winning; it’s unpredictable. You can’t do anything but be on the edge of your seat as the teams battle it out, one wins, and the other loses; both have put forth the same amount of hard work and effort. That’s just the game.
At the end of the game, that’s exactly what Braylon Mullins did. Not even being in the game, the freshman knew exactly what he had to do for his team in the Elite Eight matchup in the NCAA tournament.

There are 10 seconds left in the game; Duke is holding the ball with 10 seconds left. They throw it inbound and try to get it to their side to score. They don’t have to get it to the other side because they are in the lead by two points, 72- 70. All Duke has to do when they get the ball in bounds is to hold the ball. However, Duke choked with five seconds left; UConn got the ball. Passed it around and, with just 0.4 seconds left, freshman Braylon Mullins made a three-point buzzer-beater from 35 feet away.
Going out at first lunch to interview random students with the question: “How did you feel when Freshman Braylon Mullins made the game-winning shot?”
Braylon responded, ” I was super mad, like all they had to do was hold the ball; they could’ve gotten fouled. It was a dumb decision; I was screaming because it was a bad play.”
What’s most outstanding about this play is that it was the freshman’s first shot from the whole game; all that pressure and from 35 feet, he swished it like a boss.
Now let’s hear from the Athletic Director on how he feels about the end-winning shot to end this article off.
He responded, ” If Duke just holds on to the ball, then UConn doesn’t get it; it was super exciting, being that its march madness, that he made that shot from well beyond the three-point line. ”
