A month has passed since the Iran War started in late February of 2026. Despite the initial shock and ongoing hardships in our economy, the war seems like it is not going to end any time soon because there are still many issues going around.
According to our government, Iran has lost most of its defense and attack capabilities on the initial stage of the attack. However, the American F-15E fighter jet was shot down on April 3. The second airman of the jet was rescued about two days after it was shot down in Iran by Navy SEAL Team 6, which are known for assassinating Osama Bin Laden.
The American government also demanded Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz again in order to bring the gas prices down. There are even talks about a peace treaty in order to open this water way.

The ceasefire deal between the United States and Iran passed on April 7 under the facilitation of mediator, the prime minister of Pakistan. However, just a day after this deal has been made, Israel, an alley of United States, launched an operation to bomb Lebanon, an alley of Iran. This led to a ceasefire teetering just a day after it was made.
Jennifer Le, high school student, says, “I don’t know everything in detail but I just know that our government spending billion of dollars everyday bombing Iran and not be able to afford our Medicaid.”
Le showed frustration about the government focusing on the war instead of people of America. Although she doesn’t know about the situation in detail, she seemed to be annoyed that war is continuing at the cost of normal citizens.
Kenneth Thang, college student, says, “I heard that Israel bombed Lebanon and that kind of broke the peace treaty with Iran and I think this is ridiculous, a treaty is meant to be kept.”
Thang mistook the ceasefire deal with peace treaty, but it is true that the deal is meant to be kept. He displayed his concerns of America losing international trust and lose credibility because of this incident.
Due to recent series of events, there seems to be many concerns about the state of war with Iran affecting America, which it already have.
