Advanced Placement (AP) Testing is almost complete. A week of make up testing remains of this years testing period, but most students have already finished this school year’s AP tests. Many students still come to school due to prior commitments, so what can they do during their two hours of free time?
1. Study for other classes
Many students still have other classes that are finishing their final units in preparation for the finals. During these free periods, you can start your homework, study a concept you do not understand or just finish any work.
2. Play board games
Many AP teachers keep board games within their classes for students to use during their few weeks of freedom in classes. You can ask your teacher for these games and play them in a group of students or with your friends.
3. Play online games
With a group of students or your friends, play a variety of games on your phones. You can play games like Among Us, Roblox, or even Imposter. Games like this allow the time to fly by in AP classes.

4. Do some extra credit
If your teacher allows it, do some extra work within that class to bring your grade up. Many Advanced Placement teachers allow extra or make-up assignments. Other teachers allow students to do some extra cleaning around the classroom. If you are looking for a way to improve your grade in your free time, this is a good way to start.
Former Eleanor Roosevelt High School student, Samantha Esposito, says, “Some of my favorite times from senior year were when we had free time in AP classes. I became closer with some people who I had not spoken to previously, and it really became the highlight of my school year.”
International student, Sophia H., answered similarly, “We don’t have AP classes specifically, but we have similar testing and similar free periods after testing takes place. And that time has always been my favorite… I literally still play Roblox with some of the people I met.”
As school winds to an end, memories are waiting to be made in the seemingly ‘boring’ class periods that were once filled with lectures and stress. Make the most of this time and have fun while you can.
