Fortnite Chapter Seven Season Two has now been out for over a week, and I have been playing a lot of it, so now I want to give my opinions so far on this new season!
I want to start off by saying this season really does feel refreshing after a LONG Season 1. I really like the loot pool this season compared to last season’s.
The weapons that I like the most this season are listed below, and why I like these weapons:

Chaos Reloader Shotgun is honestly one of the best shotguns ever in Fortnite so far, in my opinion. Just a body shot on a player deals about 150 damage, depending on the rarity of the weapon you have.

Combat Assault Rifle is a very good weapon to use to spray people through buildings. It shoots very quickly and has saved me a few times this season already. However, this weapon does have massive recoil, so that is something players will have to be aware of when using it.

Pistol is absolutely amazing this season. It’s not a very special weapon, but it has no recoil, and it feels like it is very easy to aim and hit your desired shots.
Now there are 2 new mobility items that were just added to Fortnite this season, and I dislike both of them.
Skyline Deployer is good when you need to move into the circle, but only if you aren’t trying to escape a fight. If you are trying to get out of a fight, then this Zipline is going to help other players spray you while you are going across it. I’ve already lost matches from getting sprayed on this Zipline by other players. I no longer use these, and probably won’t unless I really have to.
Overdrive Grenade is a new version of the previous original “Shockwaves” added this season. I do not like these new Shockwaves because they don’t break through buildings or launch you as far. I have already tried to escape builds with these new Overdrive Grenades, then I remembered I can’t. However, they do give you infinite stamina for about 10 seconds.
People have varying opinions on the best weapon to use in Fortnite.
“My favorite weapon this season is the Chaos Reloader Shotgun because it does a lot of damage, and it automatically reloads,” said ERHS Freshman, Selah Barrett, when asked what her favorite weapon or mobility item is this season.
“My favorite item this season is the Bouncing Boomstick,” shared ERHS Freshman Lucas Ocampo when asked the same question.
Overall, this season is pretty good, in my opinion. I took a long break from Fortnite, and I started playing again towards the final weeks of Chapter Seven Season One. I am glad that in Season Two, Fortnite feels great again, with pretty good weapons overall, and mobility items that have their ups and downs. I only hope Fortnite continues to get better, with consistent new content and good times.
