A few weeks ago, about two by now, ERHS’s Lacrosse team participated in a small tournament against another team. Unfortunately ERHS was unable to win two of the three games they played and participated in within the tournament, though ERHS did come close for the second and third games played by their team. The score of the first game played was two on our side and three on the other. For the second game we played the score was three on our side and four on theirs, so the matches were very close, but unfortunately not in ERHS’ favor.
It was stated however, by ERHS STEM Academy and Freshmen Jeremiah Ward that they were unaware of the team they would be facing, and were told it would be an easier team than it actually ended up being. This could provide a proficient explanation as to why they lost two of the three games played since they most likely faced a varsity team. However the third game was a different story than the first two, while unfortunately they were unable to win any of the games, in the third one they managed to tie the game’s score to be two on our side and two on theirs.

ERHS and STEM Academy student Jeremiah Ward also stated, “The loss was definitely a little detrimental to our team moral, but at least we tied the last match, the fact that we didn’t loose the last one probably helped the overall mood of the team after the match.” Another ERHS student, Kingsley Gao, gave his opinion on the loss as well, “It’s definitely sad that they didn’t end up winning any, but the fact that they were able to win at least one match provides at least some hope that the lacrosse team isn’t as bad as they might have been perceived to be during this match, since they were facing a much tougher team.”
