Eleanor Roosevelt High School’s marching band officially ended its season on November 22 with an amazing performance.
For their last parade competition at Arcadia Band Review, the ERHS marching band placed 2nd in the Class AA category. The Class AA category is one of the most competitive categories that a band can be in. This is because only bands that have proven their skill and consistency could get in, therefore making it a top category.
Their last field competition was at Citrus College. Citrus College hosted the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association(SCSBOA) 6A Championships on the same day as the Arcadia Band Review. Just three years into competitive field performance, the ERHS marching band placed 6th out of 12th this year. With these fabulous results, the band hopes to get even better next year.

Ken Liu, head drum major of the ERHS marching band, praised the efforts and contributions of the band members, which led to amazing results for their last two performances.
“We had an amazing season this year, and I’m so proud of everyone who made this happen,” Liu said.
Ian Cho, parade drum major of the marching band, shared his hopes for better success from the future marching band and praised the dedication of both students and parents for supporting the band. He also thanked the band directors for their hard work.
“All of us worked very hard this year just for this moment, and I think we did an amazing job at it, so even though I won’t be here next year because I’m a senior, I hope this momentum continues on,” Cho said.
Now, the marching band season has come to an end with the final two performances. They look forward to inspiring more people with their outstanding art of music in the future.
