On Tuesday, April 11th, Roosevelt’s boys’ golf team topped their rival, Norco, by a score of 206-238. The match took place at both Roosevelt’s and Norco’s home course, Goose Creek Golf Course. The win put Roosevelt’s league record above .500; they are now sitting at 3-2 in league play.

Often times, the home team has an advantage because of their familiarity with the course, but both Roosevelt and Norco play their matches at Goose Creek. Roosevelt beat Norco by 32 strokes. Roosevelt’s Matthew Huo had the low score of the day with 35 (even par). Cole Garza had the second lowest score of the day with a 39 (+4). Norco’s lowest score came courtesy of Joshua Mills with a 43 (+8).

Roosevelt and Norco will meet again on April 27th. It will be Roosevelt’s last league match of the year.
