Tuesday was our school’s freshman boys’ soccer team’s last game of the season. They were against Corona High School, and it was a great game with a win for our team.
Our forwards were outstanding in attacking and scoring, the team had an excellent defense, that did not let Corona score. Corona also had a good defense but was no match for our offense.
Throughout the game, our fans were cheering with excitement and you could hear the other side cheering cheering as well. I had fun at the game seeing the way our team played, I was with family watching my brother and my friends play.
Roosevelt started with the ball they attacked a lot in the first half and had opportunities but could not connect with goals. Corona had a good first half.

The second half started Corona moved forward but could not get a pass with the defense, and then Roosevelt attacked with a goal they led 1-0. After 1-0, Corona shot the ball far, and it was an amazing save by our goalkeeper.
Then Roosevelt scored from a good pass from a midfielder number 15 score was 2-0. After the goal, Corona’s fans stayed silent and just watched but Corona was still hopeful of a goal. The minutes were counting down and with five minutes left of the game and a cross from the field to the center, a goal happened, now the score was 3-0 and the game was over!
Parents and students were happy seeing their team win the last game of the season. I interviewed Roosevelt’s team coach, Chance Alviso about how he felt about the last game of the season.
¨It was a good win I felt like the boys got better throughout the season, and that win just shows that.”
Daniel Reyes, the midfielder, also shared his thoughts about the season and their last game of the season.
¨We had a very good start to the season. We had a rough path but we came back, and I am very proud of this season,” Reyes shares.
And there is my story thank you all for reading and see you later 🙂 here are some pictures I took of the game.
Congrats to both teams. (Erick Reyes)
