The Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers is declaring for the NFL draft, announcing it on social media.
Quinn Ewers played in 36 games for the Longhorns after transferring from Ohio State. He had 68 touchdowns in his three seasons playing in Austin. Surprisingly, his decision was not shocking to people as he told ESPN’s “College GameDay” in an interview that he doesn’t see himself returning to college football in the future.
When Ewers was asked what he hoped his Texas legacy would be, he replied, “A great teammate that pushed his teammates to be the best that they could be but pushed himself to be the best that he could be, so he’s able to say things like that. And, you know, one of the best to ever do it here.”
Quinn Ewers finished tied for fourth for 27 wins by a Texas quarterback. He tied fourth with Sam Ehlinger. Many people think he would be an excellent choice for a draft prospect. His three hard years of training in the offensive system with the Texas coach Steve Sarkisian, pure arm talent, and consistent production are positives.
He is expected to do well in the workout and interview portions of the draft process. Quinn Ewers was the number 2 overall recruit in the entire country and he came out of high school a year early and attended Ohio State for a semester. His departure puts Arch Manning as the starter in 2025. He is the son of Cooper Manning, grandson of Archie Manning who was a former NFL quarterback.
