Last week, Snapchat received probably the worst backlash from a post ever regarding celebrities Rihanna and Chris Brown. The post consisted of a poll that was made by the Snapchat team, saying “Slap Chris Brown or Punch Rihanna?” and fans did not like that all. Some people engaged with the poll, actually voting and laughing along with the joke. For the most part,it was very uncalled for and they ended up having to take the post down.

Rihanna was really bothered and upset at the post based off of what she had posted on her Instagram story.

Snapchat apologized on behalf of their horrible post and content, but Rihanna refused to accept the apology and even said she would “Get rid of the app if she needs too”.  Snapchat has lost “Over 800 million After the Criticism” according to the Vanity Fair and is suffering badly from their consequence due to this post.

Chris Brown hasn’t reacted to the post yet and we are all surprised due to how active he is when is comes to social media. In 2009, he was accused of domestic violence and abusing Rihanna and went to trial for his behavior.

I spoke to a few fans of Rihanna and Chris Brown, Stacey Beckham, a friend of mind says “It is a nasty thing that Snapchat did because it is almost 10 years now that the incident has happened and it keeps being brought up.” She mentions “how it is crazy that people won’t just leave the situation alone since Chris Brown and Rihanna are good friends now.  Deja Brown( no it is not a relative of Chris) states how ” a man should never put hands on a women, but a lot of people do not know the back story of their relationship” She encourages critics to watch Chris Brown’s documentary Welcome to my Life.

We’ll see how much people will still use snap after this cruel incident, they really need to step their game up if they do not want to go out of business.
