It is November now and usually that meant, black Friday, Thanksgiving, and the Thursday of the year but not this year. This year it means college application due dates. November first college applications were open for submission and closing the 30th. So if you have not started, you should hurry, there is only 20 days left before we have to submit them.

Now maybe for us it is a little too late to change something we did in our academic years, but juniors still have a whole year left to get involved and get their grades up before applying to colleges. Kimberly Guerrero, junior here at ERHS, has shared with me some things she has been doing to ensure she gets into a school of her dreams. “I have enrolled in a lot of leadership programs to show initiative; like, ASB, class council, and Spanish Honor Society.” Not only that but she “joined CSF to visit colleges and and just get the personal hands on experience because being at the college and hearing about it is completely different.” She also gave me a list of colleges she would like to attend once she graduates college, “Pomona, USC, UCLA, NYU (tish/galaton),” she also has been “Working on my crafts which are a gran factor in my college applications.”

There a lot of things possible to do to get ready for college applications and colleges and I hope you seniors out there are ready!
