Disney recently announced that new renovations will be made in Disney’s California Adventure of Pixar Pier that will replace Paradise Pier. New themed rides and products will be introduced that will be followed all throughout the pier. These renovations are said to be completed the Summer of 2018, a year prior to Disneyland’s addition of the Star Wars: Galaxy Edge attraction.

Some of the major changes that will be seen in Paradise Pier is that the California Screamin’ Roller coaster will be replaced with the Indcredicoaster, playing ode to Disney’s “The Incredibles.” As for the games on the boardwalk, they will be categorized by Pixar favorites alongside Mickey’s Fun Wheel, which will remain.

Toy Story Mania will also remain the same, but bring a friendly family area neighborhood containing Disney’s “Inside Out.” Ariels’ Grotto and Cove Bar will be replaced with a new dining area for visitors to view the Paradise bay and Pixar Pier.

The main attractions are set to close down by January 8th of next year to make way for these Pixar changes.

Senior Jovi Lazo shared her opinion on the new changes coming ahead, “After the change with ‘Tower of Terror’ attraction to “Guardians of the Galaxy.” I think it’s all changing too much. We grew up with these attractions but, then to change it all to something new it’s loosing it’s history. Although we all love Pixar movies like “The Incredibles,” it’s all a bit much to change the whole park.”
