This past weekend in Long Beach, California, the most exquisite event happened with the most popular names in the game. Complex Con is an event where mainly artists in the music pop industry come together and have performances, and famous marketplaces such as Nike, Guess, K-Swiss, Adidas, and many other clothing designs.

This event consists of a leader for each category of pop culture such as Cultural Director/Executive Chair Pharrell Williams, Artist Takashi Murakami, Reggaeton celebrity J.Balvin, and actor/activist Jaden Smith. All of these influences are a part of the host committee and are the ones who put this fine work of art together to show fans and other celebrities who can be apart of the movement.

Many of those who were there came simply to be apart of this amazing project present by Complex, such as Andre 3000 who was painting in front of some fans and the up and coming Laker, Lonzo Ball. The one and only Kobe Bryant made a special appearance and answered questions. A skateboard ramp was there for pro-skaters who showed up Boo Johnson, Alex Midler, and fans who brought a board with them. There was plenty of fans there who paid a lot to meet and have autographs signed. Tickets ranged from $75- 100 plus fees, depending on what day you went. If you wanted VIP passes, it was an extra $400 according to https://www.comlex.com/tickets.com

I talked to a few people who went for the first time, and had them discuss with me their experience with being surrounded by so much greatness. “It was a great time, all the shoes they had their were great and seeing Kobe, my idol was a lifetime experience”, says Mathieu Lopez, a kid in high school who goes to Complex-Con every year.

Sidrick, a senior at Roosevelt, said ” It’s something you will never forget and the vibes are just too awesome.”

So go to Complex Con next year, and see how you like it.
