Recently, accusations arose regarding Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey that links him to sexually assaulting Anthony Rapp when he was 14 in the mid-1980s and numerous other young men.

According to Rapp, Spacey had invited him into his apartment, where he proceeded to lay atop him.

Another man came forward anonymously and said that when he was 17, Spacey tried to get the young man to sleep in the same bed with him, but he refused. In wake of all these accusations, Spacey’s publicist said that the actor is now receiving treatment and evaluation.

With the horrific events that have occurred recently, many LGBTQ+ individuals find that Kevin Spacey’s coming out is far too convenient, due to the backlash that he is receiving.

Many celebrities have called out Spacey for his revelation of coming out as gay, and Netflix has decided to  cancell his show House of Cards after its 6th season finishes production and airs.

Harmony Johnson says that, “I believe that they should look deeper into the accusations so people don’t have to continue to be victims.” As Hollywood is continuously tainted by the actions of these men,  we can only hope that this nightmare comes to an end.
