Kingsman: The Secret Circle

Gisselle Guerrero, Staff Editor / Writer

Kingsman: The Secret Service, is a great movie.

Eggsy’s father died when he was just a little boy leaving him with just a card with a number for when he gets into trouble. He ends up living with a creep who mistreats both him and his mother. After having enough and getting into a fight with him Eggsy finds himself in a jail cell calling the number his father left for him. Henry Galahad comes in and bails him. Agent Galahad then gives Eggsy the opportunity take training for a secret service called Kingsman, a secret service in which his Eggsy’s father died trying to save the world. After Eggsy passes his training and becomes an official Kingsman, he and his partner Galahad go on to save the world from V. We all remember the tragic ending when Galahad gets shot in the head but is victorious nonetheless when Eggsy finishes off V. Senior here at ERHS, Mia Blue, said, “the first movie was really good but a bit confusing at some points.”

The second movie just came out September 22, 2017, last Friday.

In the new movie, Kingsman: The Secret Circle, a very successful drug cartel implements a chemical in their drugs which cause a sickness. Possessing the antidote that can cure that disease, they will only release it if the President makes drugs as legal as alcohol. That takes Eggsy on a mission to steal the antidote so that scientist can replicate it. With more action, more death, new partners, a little bit more action, old partners, and even more action, Eggsy takes on this mission headfirst to cure the people who have consumed the drugs.

Mia also mentioned, “I’m excited to go and watch the second movie with my friends and see if it is as good as the last one, or even better.” This movie is definitely worth all the hype it has received and more. If you get the chance to go and watch the movie, it is not something you’ll regret. Yes, maybe the deaths could have been avoided in some way or the other, as we have all grown an emotional connection to these characters, but then the plot and overall finale would not be the same.
