Hurricane IRMA

Estimates have said that Irma would hit the eastern Caribbean islands and Puerto Rico on Wednesday. One source remarks that the hurricane is “already one for the record books.” Irma has sustained winds of 185 miles per hour and it’s already recorded as one of the most powerful hurricanes already. Twenty people at the least have died, nine from French Caribbean, four in untied states virgin islands, three in Puerto Rico, two in ST with more injured people and unreported deaths to come.  Martin on the Dutch side

and one in Anguilla, it is rumored that Irma will cause major disruption. Florida is the next victim and Governor Rick Scott has said “today is the day to do the right thing for your family and get inland to safety.” That’s probably the smart thing to do.

When asked about the hurricane, Roosevelt student Wynton Scott remarked “my friend just went to a funeral in Florida” and that “going to Florida right now sounds kind of terrifying.” The hurricane also just hit the Bahamas, so everyone should be safe and check the place you travel to. This is very sad and devastating with the uprising of multiple hurricanes. I wish everyone well dealing with them.
