HBO’s most well known TV show, “Game of Thrones,” has been known for its infamous fight scenes and fire-breathing dragons. This year’s season has not only enhanced the TV network’s ability to captivate this large series in only 7 episodes of the seventh season, but has also capped the series for next season with an ending after 8 whole seasons. Despite cutting the episode count number from 10 to 7 this year, HBO has extended the episodes’ run time from being fifty minutes to eighty minutes. Season 7 has not only concluded long-waited events for fans, but has also answered many questions they’ve had this past year.

More and more fans of the series have shared their own theories on what’s to come for this Sunday’s upcoming finale, especially with the recent events that have taken place with the King of the North, Jon Snow, and Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen finally meeting and the white walkers that are headed towards the seven kingdoms. Now with the three youngest Stark’s all being reunited in the North, stronger forces are being made but others are also being tested amongst the influence of well known character, Little-finger.

Prominent characters have all been tested throughout this past season, but so have the stunt coordinators on set, setting a world record of seventy-three of them being lit on fire in order to make these unfortunate deaths realistic for their audience. HBO has gone through a large amount of ups and down when it comes to making these type of scenes well rounded for their audience, especially Game of Thrones fans that presumably have high standards for each season to come.

One prediction for this weekends upcoming season finale of Game of Thrones from fellow ERHS teacher Mr. Hernandez is, “Jon Snow, Dany (Daenerys Targaryen), and Cersei Lannister are all going to join forces in order to fight the white walkers, but Cersei is going to backstab them. Then I think Jamie Lannister is going to kill Cersei and will be known as the Queen and King slayer which will redeem himself and leave Jon, Dany, Jamie and Tyrion all left to fight the white walkers.”
