Boys Basketball Parade for CIF Recognition!

Monica Rodulfo, Historian/ Staff Writer

On Friday April 14th, we had our Boys Basketball Parade for their recognition of winning their State Championship title. The parade began roughly at about 6pm and ended at 6:34pm. Scholar Way was completely shut down for this special event, the parade started at Harada Heritage Park and ended at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. People from the community of Eastvale filled the streets to support our CIF State Champions.

There were several Mercedes-Benz in the parade. Inside of those cars were the Tessari family (mayor of Eastvale) and many other city and state locals. Following them was Roosevelt’s cheer team, band, and color guards.

In the big bus were our champions, Eleanor Roosevelt’s very own Boys Varsity Basketball. We welcomed them with lots of love and loud cheers. As they entered Roosevelt’s parking lot, they were welcomed by the song “We Are the Champions” by Queen.

After their grand arrival we celebrated them in a rally. State and local representatives made an appearance to congratulate and award them with their state championship title. Followed by this speech and awards ceremony were performances by Polynesian club, step team, and much more!

Congratulations to our Varsity Boys Basketball!
