“Justice League,” the new upcoming film in the DC Expanded Cinematic Universe franchise from Warner Bros studios, is due out this year with a release date of Nov. 17 and so much had happened in the previous films of the popular superhero comic book movie franchise that leads up to this new addition. Hence, it is best for the general moviegoers to catch up on these important events to know what they are getting into before walking into a theater to see  “Justice League.” Here’s a quick rundown.

In the 2016 hit film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” a disastrous and intense battle scene ensued involving the vicious alien creature Doomsday fighting against Batman (Bruce Wayne) who attempts to fend off the monster with the help of his foe-turned-friend Superman (Clark Kent) and his new Amazon female ally Wonder Woman (Diana Prince). Doomsday is eventually defeated and killed at the hands of Superman, who sacrifices himself in the process. This leads Batman and Wonder Woman to try to assemble the Justice League, a team of the most powerful people on the planet to protect it against the most dangerous threats that could occur.

Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash are just three of these powerful superheroes recruited by the two heroes. And although Superman is said to be deceased from the last film, there is a high chance of his return  with a scene the end of “Batman V Superman” in which dirt on his casket shakes and levitates. The chances of Superman returning in the upcoming movie Justice League increases because the actor that portrays Superman, Henry Cavill, is shown in the cast of the movie.

It is confirmed that Steppenwolf, a infamous DC comics character, will be the main villain in the movie but something also expected to be seen in the upcoming film is Darkseid’s foot soldiers and accomplices as they are shown many times throughout the recent trailer film, where they fight against the group of heroes.

Personally, I’m very excited to see how the main characters will be fighting – especially my favorite, the Flash – and on how all the scenes play out. I’m definitely looking forward to watching this to see what will happen next and perhaps you should too.
