Sarah Harrison- Google Doodle

Joanne Kim, A&E Editor

This year’s Doodle for Google’s winner is Sarah Harrison from Connecticut who was inspired by the prompt, “What I see for the future …” and created a picture of a group hug between people of different races, ages, religions, and members of the LGBTQ community as well as a boy who was a disability.

“My future is a world where we can all learn to love each other despite our religion, gender, race, ethnicity, or sexuality,” Sarah explained. “I dream of a future where everyone is safe and accepted wherever they go, whoever they are.”

“Ultimately, Sarah’s doodle captured the best of everything we saw, representing values like diversity, inclusion and respect in an inspiring and creative image.” Google’s head of external affairs, William Floyd.

Sarah’s doodle was uploaded as the Google logo on March 31st.

She received a $30,000 scholarship, and her school will receive $50,000 to use for technology.
