Kong: Skull Island Movie Review (NO SPOILERS)

Angel Villarreal, Staff Writer

The fresh new remake of King Kong is now in theaters and available for you to watch.

As one can tell from the film’s title, “Kong: Skull Island” is set on Skull Island rather than in New York City. The iconic beast is much larger than how he was in the original King Kong films of the past. The reason for that is not fully shown, but a hint is released at the end of the new Kong movie, so make sure you stay for the end credits scene. As shown in trailers, a group of scientists and people search through the undiscovered Skull island, which leads them to discovering the king of the island. With terror in their eyes, all have to fight to try to escape, not only from Kong, but from other vicious creatures found on the island.

This science fiction/fantasy/action/adventure monster flick is rated PG-13, so if you are under the age of 13, then make sure to bring a parent or guardian. With an average 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes which is an average rating. If you are a fan of King Kong, I highly recommend this movie to you. Even if you are not a big fan, it is still a great entertaining movie most will love and that you should go see.
