After a long wait, professional baseball has officially returned. Teams have reported to Spring Training, a period of practices and exhibition games.

Half of the league (fifteen teams) is attending the Cactus League (Arizona), and half of the league is attending the Grapefruit League in Florida. The Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Dodgers, two local teams, are attending the Cactus League.

The Los Angeles Angels play their games at Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe, Arizona. The complex features a number of practice fields that both the Angels and youth travel ball teams play on. On the other hand, the Dodgers play in Glendale, Arizona at Camelback Ranch. The beautiful stadium is definitely a fan favorite.

Spring Training provides a tremendous opportunity for organizations, players, and fans. Organizations are able to get a better idea of what young prospects can do. Players are able to develop chemistry with their teammates, and for the younger, unproven players, they are given a chance to show their skills. Most importantly, perhaps, is the memories fans are able to make. Players regularly take pictures with the fans and autograph their hats, jerseys, and baseballs.

Opening Day is on April 3rd, so teams have just more than a month to prepare for their quest to the World Series.
