The opinions on which is better: DC or Marvel.

DC Comics is known for the oldest American comic book companies. The comics have been around since the mid 1930’s. The first comic book came out in March 1935 titled “New Fun #1,” although DC comics changed drastically in 1938 when Superman smashed a rock on the cover of “Action Comics #1.” The fist movie DC comics made was “Superman and The Mole Men” in 1951. Leading to many years of work creating many different characters through the years. Through the years DC comics came out with their very first Funko Pops, Batman and Green Lantern, then coming out with 34 others. DC comics would go on to later making $10 billion annually as of 2022 through the comic books, Funko Pops, etc..

Marvel used to be called Timely Publications, but it was switched to Marvel Studios in the early 1960’s. Marvel’s first movie was “Iron Man,” made in 2008, and their first comic book was “Journey into Mystery #69” made in October 1939 published by Matten Goodman. Marvel also released 32,000 comic books as of 2009. Marvel is so well liked by many people that in 2009 Michael Jackson was interested to buy it and collaborate with Stan Lee.

In Stan Lee’s life he had made 37 Marvel movies before he would pass away on November 12, 2018 (Rest in Peace Stan Lee).  The Marvel companies net worth as of 2022 is $53 billion.

When it comes to DC comics or Marvel, I prefer DC.

The reason I like DC more is because I feel as if the characters have more to them. I do enjoy Marvel, but once their story has ended that’s it, while DC has different variations of the characters that they create. The DC comic books pay attention to their art and design. The villains in the DC comics/universe are also better. I prefer their stories over Marvel. The villain origin stories have more detail and you can feel for the characters. While for Marvel villains I find it harder to do so.

“Marvel has always caught my attention,” Marvel fan Marissa Castro said. Marvel has always been Castro’s number one. She likes the fighting of Marvel and thinks that they have better CGI.

“The characters are fun to watch and to grow.” Castro said.

Her favorite character in Marvel is Black Panther (Rest in Peace Chadwick Aaron), because he puts his family first and does the most for the people he cares about and you can see him grow in his movies as a person and working hard to do what’s right.

DC and Marvel are different things with different characters and different perspectives of the world. DC and Marvel will also spark an argument in which is better, which is how you know they’re both good because you wouldn’t want to talk about something that has nothing good to say about it.
