Recently I went to Sephora and I saw the white chocolate chip palette on display; it was just too glittery so I had to get it. Too Faced doesn’t normally release mini palettes in travel size, but considering how expensive their normal palettes are, it didn’t seem like too much of a bad idea to purchase this one, which is only $26 online and in stores. They also have a matte chocolate chip version which is the same as the white chocolate chip, except obviously the colors are different (darker and matte) and the packaging is brown instead of white. As excited as I was to try out my new palette, I went home and looked up YouTube videos and read reviews online of the makeup product.

It turns out that almost everybody who bought it, doesn’t like the quality and size at all. This was kind of upsetting to read at first because it made me think “what if I wasted my money on something that wasn’t worth it?” Afterwards I just decided to go through with the palette and create an eye look with it. It didn’t turn out as bad as I thought it would. I actually liked the colors and how easy it was to blend out. Although the pigment is very light for most colors, it does have amazing glitter and shimmer shades which makes your eyeshadow really pop.

The only dark color the palette has is a black shade that contains sparkles, which is perfect for blending and creating a smoky effect. As for the glitter colors, there is a lot of fall out, in which could be very annoying if you don’t want a face full of sparkles. A possible solution could be putting a paper towel right under your eyes so the sparkles fall onto the towels instead of your face.

Another negativity of the palette is that it’s very chalky, so it’s like an explosion of colors coming out. I suggest that you don’t tap your brush into it hard so you can avoid this situation. Keep in mind that it is very small, but that’s the way that it’s intended to be considering it’s in a travel size. These shades are most likely not for individuals who have deep skin tones, and would probably suit lighter skin tones better considering how light the colors are. Overall, I personally love this palette, but that’s just me. Several people do not like it, and there’ll be many more who will have the same opinion. It just depends on what you’re looking for when it comes to makeup products like these. If you’re looking for dark eyeshadow shades, try considering the matte chocolate chip palette!
