Bugatti has just revealed their all new monster track car, and it is astonishing. On October 28 Bugatti surprised the world the with all new Bugatti Bolide with their infamous 8.0 liter W16 engine producing a 1,825 horsepower race car, weighing just around 2,734 pounds. To put that into perspective, this car is lighter than the average Honda Civic. The Bugatti Bolide uses ceramic breaks, similar to F1 car’s, with each caliper weighing 5.3 pounds and having a built-in jack system for easy tire change.

Because it is so lightweight and produces that much power, the speed and acceleration it can achieve is impressive. Bugatti has not yet physically tested the cars acceleration and speed, yet within their simulation it does 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.17 seconds, 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) is done in 4.36 seconds, 0-186 mph (0-300 km/h) in 7.37 seconds and 0-249 mph (0-400 km/h) in 12.08 seconds, having a top speed of 310 plus miles per hour.

Kyle commented on the numbers Bugatti has given stating, “this seems so surreal.” Bugatti still has not decided whether or not to build this perfect track car. Kyle added, “they need to build thus hyper car.”

Bugatti also mention that the Bolide has been designed to fully meet the FIA’s safety regulations. Apart from the incredible speeds and being able tp complete Germany’s infamous Nürburgring at 5:23.1 seconds, Bugatti truly designed a magnificent car.

Michael Santos, a student from ERHS commented about the car saying, “it looks slick” and “looks very aerodynamic.”

Although the Bolide is only a concept car, it has to be one of my favorites that has been revealed in 2020. The car looks very futuristic, almost something out of a video game or movie, like a Batmobile race car. I am excited and hopeful that Bugatti manufactures this car, even though I don’t have anywhere near the type of money it would cost. Bugatti has reached far with this car and has definitely grabbed my attention.
