The story of how the boy who never grew up became such a person is told through ERHS’s Theatre production of the Tony-winning play “Peter and the Starcatcher,” based on a beloved children’s novel of a similar name written by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, while the play was written by Rick Elice.

Joanne Kim and Danny Nguyen

Most of us know the story of Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up in J.M Barrie’s beloved novel about his adventures in Neverland he had with his lost boys, his fairy ally Tinker Bell – her pixie dust allowing for the ability of flight – and his new friends Wendy Darling and her brothers as they go up against the sinister Captain Hook and his sidekick Smee.

But one has to wonder how did Peter Pan became the boy millions of readers know of today? What happened before Peter Pan met Wendy? Where on Earth did Peter Pan this mischievous, fun, carefree kid come from?

These questions are explored in Eleanor Roosevelt’s theatre production of the play “Peter and the Starcatcher,” based on the beloved  prequel novel, that is going to hit the stage on Feb. 2, 3, and 4 at 7 p.m. at the Mustang Theatre.

The school’s very own students from all sorts of backgrounds, some of whom you might know, will play intriguing characters in this new play, that should not be missed, so buy your tickets to see a magical production!
