ERHS Crowded?

When coming to ERHS, there are two noticeable things that would catch any person’s eye; the size of the school and the number of students. At the moment, the school has in total 4,580 students enrolled and over a thousand seniors.  Walking through the hall can be a pain, due to trying to push through crowds, attempting to get to class or trying to leave. Other schools may have 800 students enrolled or 2,500 students enrolled, it varies by region, but to think that ERHS is able to hold over 4,000 students is itself crazy, leaving some to ask, does ERHS have too many students?

Robert Gonzales, a student here at ERHS, said, “Coming to school my freshman year, I thought that the amount of students we had on campus was crazy.”

Cozmo Lozano, a senior at ERHS says, “I do think that the school has too many students, mostly due to the new addition of the STEM building and the large expansion of classes that were added.

With over 4,000 students it allows the school to seem more diverse, allowing students to meet people from different backgrounds, and just overall meet many different people. Yet some can see that it’s an issue because of small things like getting to class.

Lozano stated, “I see the issue, because I myself have trouble getting to class, the crowded halls makes it take longer to get to class, so I’m late from time to time. Yet I do think that the school can handle the number of students are on campus.”

Gonzales states, “There is for sure a drastic change in the number of students enrolled on our campus compared to other schools, however I find the vast amount to display positive diversity, allowing for a realistic and enriching school experience.”

How you see the number of students on campus is up to you, but you cannot disagree that the amount of student allows for diversity, and interesting school experiences.
