Construction zone sign and cones

As the city of Eastvale continuously expands, it is inevitable that the once nicely paved roads will go under construction. With multiple construction sights around Eastvale, we are bound to face road closures. It is advised to plan traffic delays into your morning or afternoon commute on multiple roads. From simply paving roads to fixing traffic lights there has been and will continue to be closed roads.

Road paving will occur from January 30th to February 3rd, 2020 on main road Schleisman. Paving will take place between Harrison and Archibald avenue. Also construction will transpire between the hours of 7:00am to 4:00pm. The Eastvale website also states that at least one lane will always be open. However, this road closure hasn’t been the only closure recently.

Another construction activity is taking place from January 21st to February 11th, 2020. Hellman avenue between Chandler and Aldergate from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Student driver Kristina Villacorta states, ” I live by Chandler and the construction is making my commutes slower.” However, she also states, “Despite the traffic, I’m glad that our roads are getting fixed especially since potholes are forming more often.” For many who commute on these streets, these couple of weeks will be frustrating getting back and forth.

Despite the longer road constructions, there has also been smaller daily construction. On south of Limonite avenue, Hamner avenue, two southbound lanes were closed due to a water leak repair. It was scheduled to occur between 6:30am and 5:00pm. Along with this water leak repair, there was another one on the 30th. This water leakage repair on Hamner and 65th street. It occured from 7:00am to 6:00 pm. Local resident Jason Mendoza states, “Living in Eastvale for a while, I’ve seen a lot of construction happen but this time its on 65th.” He further states, ” I take 65th to work and pick up my kids so the traffic makes my routine slower.”

Though there were many road closures recently, Eastvale’s drivers are seeing newly paved roads making their commute easier.
