Can You Color?

One of Roosevelt’s very own seniors, Jules Labador, has allowed his creativity to thrive with a new app he has created: “Can You Color?” which is now available on the app store for free. Once you click on the description, it’s stated to be “a fun, little game. Instructions: Choose the color of the text, not what the color the text says. Be quick!” It is also quite addicting once you get to playing it because you’ll end up wanting to beat your previous score.

“Can You Color?” has the ability to trick your mind into thinking one color is another, and although the gameplay can get confusing, it forces you to stay focused to get the correct answer, making for constant replaying. The app is constantly being updated, and has received major changes since it has been released.

As I asked Jules “What inspired you to make this app?” he responded saying “I’m really into computers and games, so I’ve been experimenting with programming. After I learned how to make iPhone apps, I tried coming up with a game to make, and voila, I made it.”

When I then asked him “How often are the updates?”, his response was “They were usually around one week, but I haven’t released one in a month simply because I didn’t know what else to add. But now I’m working on a huge new update, and hopefully it’ll be completed soon.”

To end the set of interview questions, I decided to ask him one final question: “What kind of people do you think will be interested in Can You Color? the most?”

And Jules said “I designed the game to be short, yet difficult on purpose.  I took inspiration from ‘Flappy Bird,’ where it was quick and straightforward games, but difficult at the same time. I think anyone looking for a challenge would be interested in the game.”

With all that being said, be sure to download “Can You Color?”, and give it the kinds it truly deserves in the comments section, if you can.
