Ultimate Frisbee Club

As the Frisbee flies into the air, whether it be on the green field at the back of the school one day or the blacktop another, several students, members of a new after school club on campus known as the Ultimate Frisbee Club, are devoted entirely to playing the game of Ultimate Frisbee mostly on Mondays and Thursdays.

It is a club that does not require any prerequisites, as members who are not familiar to the art of throwing or catching a Frisbee are taught by skilled members on how to play.

Meetings, or games, are usually 30 minutes long and whoever shows up is placed into one of two teams to play an original ultimate Frisbee game: it’s like football, but with a Frisbee.

And there’s another twist: players can only take a certain amount of steps and must throw the Frisbee at their current position.

“We just hope that people have fun playing Ultimate Frisbee,” Ricky Holman, President of the club, said in an interview after the end of one of the club’s meetings.  And that is what drives Ultimate Frisbee.
