Taking Back the Bell!!

On Thursday, November 3, 2016, Roosevelt High School’s football team played against Norco High School for our last league game of the season before going off to playoffs. The game was a home game, taking place at Roosevelt’s very own Mustang Stadium. This was a huge game for them as they were up against their biggest rival Norco, who took off with the lead 7-0, but not for long. The game was neck and neck between Roosevelt and Norco during fourth and final quarter, with Norco leading 45-38. As the remaining minutes passed by, Roosevelt scores a touchdown, changing the score to a tie of 45-45. After battling it out, Roosevelt takes the win with a result of 52-51 as Norco’s two-point conversion fails.

Wow, what a close game! Congratulations to our Mustangs on that win against Norco after such an intense game!

Not only did our Mustangs win against our biggest rivalry, but we also took back the bell from Norco for the first time in six years! It’s been a huge accomplishment for Roosevelt this season now that they’re heading off to CIF playoffs for the first in six years as well. Good luck Mustangs and keep up the great work! We will have our first CIF game for playoffs on Friday, November 11, 2016 against San Jacinto High School. It will be in our Mustang Stadium, so be sure to come out and support your fellow Mustangs!
