#NoDAPL

It is the continuous disregard for humanity of corporations and our government allowing such disrespect to occur that is enraging protesters to rally against the Dakota Pipeline. This environmental racism of allowing corporations to build a pipeline that threatens the water quality of millions of people along with other negative environmental effects has erupted the spirits of Native Americans to resist such toxic insolence. It has built a network of solidarity from celebrities including Shailene Woodley and Willow and Jaden Smith to politicians like Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein. On social media, BLM representatives and social activists join hands in protecting our precious water from poison.

Native Americans of the Sioux tribe and other tribes in solidarity have combated against the Dakota Pipeline not just for its environmental racism, but the intrusion of their sacred land. The government’s neglect only adds to the flames. The suppression of the activism of protesters demonstrates all we need to know about how our politicians feel about the rights and lives of Native Americans.

The voices of the people are of such irritability to the comfort of exploitation to businesses that they find a need to send out violent dogs to hurt, shoot rubber bullets, mace, arrest protesters, and send the National Guard to try and extinguish the freedom of the people to protest peacefully. It wasn’t that the protest against the Dakota Pipeline was out of control- only that it disturbed the capitalist exploitative advancements of corrupt corporations.

Still, oppression lives on.

P.S. The pipeline has reached the Missouri River, and protesters are doing anything to stop the corporation from continuing the Dakota Pipeline. I ask readers to check the links below to contribute to the halt against the pipeline if they have the means to.
