Teachers Taste Pi Day

Pi Day at Roosevelt
On Thursday, March 14, the Renaissance club here at Eleanor Roosevelt High School hosted a fundraiser for their program. All staff, faculty and teachers alike, were asked to participate in getting pied in the face in honor of Pi Day. Initially, the top six teachers who raised the most money were going to get pied in the face; however, because renaissance raised over $500, all the staff got pied in the face.
Janeva Ryder, the renaissance teacher here at ERHS explains the club and class as, “A leadership opportunity for students here on campus. Our whole goal is to recognize and reward students for their achievements. Whether it’s attendance, academics, achievements in GPA, or the Most Dedicated Mustangs which recognizes [students] for their efforts.”
Ryder also highlights an upcoming event that, “Is a special assembly on April 9th for a select group of students in the school that have received those awards where the students will have free breakfast, gifts, and certificates.” We can’t wait to see what Renaissance will do next, stay tuned Mustangs!
