How’s it hanging Mustangs? We’re back again with another segment of This Week In Campus Sports, where we cover all your favorite sports in one place.

This week our Mustang sports teams showed spectacular improvement in their athletic performance, enough to get them to CIF. Mustang Winter sports of 2019 CIF progressed this week with both girls teams scoring amazing wins and the COED Wrestling squad earning multiple positions in the CIF Masters Meet. The following five wrestlers are qualified to masters with Isiah Vazquez as an alternate.

106 Adrian Ledezma 3rd, 126 Dylan Pavone 6th, 145 Isiah Vazquez 6th alternate, 170 Ndifor Tabukum 4th, 182 Joel Young 3rd and, 195 Brandon Leon 2nd,

Our girls basketball team finished with a score of 75-40 over Cajon. Our Mustang girls advanced to the Quarterfinals on Wednesday, the 12th, at Huntington Beach HS.

Our girls water polo team finished 13-6 over San Juan hills. The girls have qualified for this first CIF Semifinals. The Semi Finals took place on Wednesday at Murrieta Mesa HS in Murrieta at 5 pm.

Our Mustang varsity baseball team won 5-1 over La Habra in the first Round of Newport Elks Tournament. LHP Zach Veen with the win and Jake Skipworth going 3-3 with a HR.

Our Track and Field team begins their competition this Saturday, Feb 16th, with their first home invitational of the season.
