Daniel Hernandez, a rapper also known as Tekashi69 or 6ix9ine, has been arrested on several counts, one of which is racketeering. He has been accused of pulling an armed robbery in affiliation with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang. He has been involved with this group for some time, a destructive gang that dealt drugs and committed violent crimes. He has been denied bail.

Hernandez has been a controversial figure for a large part of his musical career, facing several conflicts with the law. In the past, he has narrowly escaped jail time, and is currently on probation.

Despite this, he has a steady musical following, with over 15 million followers on Instagram. His music videos have garnered hundreds of millions of views on YouTube despite his controversial persona.

Tagoylo joked that the rapper is “barely even a man-he’s like 21!”

Of course, such a controversial person would meet opposition. Upon learning about Hernandez’s actions, Aaliyah Tagoylo felt that “this dude needs to get jail time!” She feels uncomfortable with the idea of someone gaining fame by building an entire career around sensationalism, and hopes that justice is served.

The junior worries that “since he’s a celebrity hes gonna get off pretty well.” She was outraged about his past involvement in sex crimes involving a thirteen year old, disgusted at his actions. She stated, “I don’t like the idea that he doesn’t understand his consequences, and I think he should face them at this point.”

According to TMZ, the rapper’s trial date has been set to September 4, and in the meantime, he will incarcerated. If convicted, he could face anywhere from 25 years to life in prison.
