Veterans Day
November 16, 2018
This past Monday, America celebrated Veterans Day, which is an annual holiday meant to recognize all the veterans who sacrifice their lives for our country’s safety. This past weekend, a veteran at the Eastvale Veterans Memorial ceremony stated that “Not only do we thank the veterans but we also give thanks to their families.” As we remember that people who gave their lives, we remember the families that stand by these men and women, and support them as they proceed to fight for our country.
From Eastvale to Norco, we recognize every veteran from every war and any solider who’s still inn service for all they’ve done for us. We also wanted to give special thanks to Joe Marino,a 101 year old veteran from WWII who stands proud at the George A. Ingalls Veteran Memorial Plaza in Norco
For the 100 year anniversary at the Norco memorial, the air force plane flew over at exactly 11 o’clock to honor all veterans in service. Also at the Ingalls Memorial, stands a wall to remember all of those who’ve passed and lived in Norco at one point.
“It’s our responsibility as citizens to not forget our history, especially when history is in fact being rewritten to some politically correct narrative and great military accomplishments are being ignored.” Kevin Bash a Member of Norco’s City Council states. Not only should we thank and remember all veterans or personnel still serving but we should make a habit to remember them everyday because of their immense sacrifice.
