Their latest game was at home on Wednesday, September 12 against Hillcrest High School (Riverside) and our varsity won 10-5. Head JV/Frosh Coach Amanda Quinonez feels that the season so far, “I haven’t seen this want [from varsity] for camaraderie since we won CIF in 2016, and it’s truly exciting.”

Ms. Quinonez wants Mustangs to know that, “Water polo is one of the toughest most complex and physical games out there. It’s fun to watch even when you don’t know what’s going on.”

Kyle Seifen who is a freshman here at ERHS plays for the varsity team on positions on the 1-4-5 side, and he is looking forward to, “Being closer as a team this year and improving and hopefully making it to CIF this year.”

Jared Salas, a senior who plays set for the varsity team, “We really look forward to doing good in league this year. We are trying to go to CIF this year and trying to get another ring.”

Salas also adds that our Mustangs should know, “Water polo is a really fun and hard sport. But you should always come out to watch because it is so much fun.”

Coach Quinonez also adds that, “We need all the support we can get. Hopefully we can go for another CIF title and win it for the school.”

Go support our Boys Water Polo at their next home game which is Tuesday, September 18 at 3:15 PM at the pool deck against Redlands High School.
