Vanessa Alejos is a freshman who enjoys reading, drawing, baking, and talking with her friends. Her favorite manga is “Jujutsu Kaisen” by Gege Akutami, and her favorite book series is “One of Us is Lying” by Karen M. McManus. Her favorite music artists are Big Thief, Tyler The Creator, Chappell Roan, Mitski and Genesis.

She joined journalism to be able to write all types of stories, whether they are informational, fun or simple. Her goal this year in journalism is to write a story that changes at least one person’s perspective.
