Makeup, hair products, pads, tampons, perfume, body spray, and lotions are all examples of what a girl’s necessities are to live up to society’s expectations. Society expects us to have some of these products at hand, and we hear phrases like, “Why are you always out of lotion, just go buy some.” It could get annoying sometimes, but we have to admit, when we tell guys how much our favorite lotion cost, their reaction is priceless.

Priscilla Guerrero shared with us the minimum of what she spends on a daily basis with famine products, “I spend more money on makeup,” she also mentioned, “every two months I have to go back to the store to buy my eyebrow pencil which cost $24.” She does not need to wear makeup however, working in the cosmetology field, if she goes in without her makeup or hair done correctly, people think of her as unprofessional or not good at her job.

Us girls do complain a lot about not getting payed enough as guys, but in our defense, when working as equally as hard and long as them we deserve to get paid as much as they earn. “Both guys and girls have equally similar bills to pay and when girls gain less, they don’t really have that extra money to splurge on themselves” Priscilla added.

If we are not going to earn equal pay then I believe it’s time to start lowering your expectations of how we “should” look.
