The NBA (National Basketball Association) All-Star game over last weekend it’s a festival held every February at that specific weekend during the regular NBA season. In addition to the basketball game itself, it consists of exhibits and performances.

Speaking of performances, Fergie – A former member of the band the Black-Eyed Peas she has done pretty well in her solo career – gave an interesting interpretation on that All-Star weekend when she sang the national anthem for the game and it didn’t sound to good, according to the general consensus.

The singer was off-key and just a hot mess during her performance, at some point  the athletes and  the audience couldn’t contain their laughter.

All over the Internet, Fergie’s mishap is being made into memes that comment on her poor version of the “Star-Spangled Banner” such as:  “yeah home girl was getting dragged but in a funny way.”

Fergie made a statement Monday after her performance on Sunday in which the star said “I’ve been honored and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something new for the NBA. I’m a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn’t strike the intended tone. “I love this country and honestly tried my best.” It really did seem like she tried her best .Roosevelts student Lorraine Scott said “I felt bad that everyone was laughing ““but it was  hilarious “ If you missed it I don’t know how because it’s been everywhere.
