MLK Parade

The Martin Luther King parade is a yearly annual celebration of beloved Civil Rights Movement leader, Baptist minister, and activist Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
He was truly indeed one of the most popular spokesperson for the Civil Rights Movement, writing and giving his famous “I Have a Dream” speech at the front steps of the Lincoln Memorial all those years ago.
Now we have a holiday on January 15th his birthday to remember him and all the good he has done. These parades are held in multiple places like Houston, Las Vegas, and Georgia, .They hold all types of opportunities and resources for education via support for various colleges, careers, and medical health. It’s live musical performances and great food trucks for people to indulge. Bands and drill teams from different places come to preform .People from various backgrounds come to present their cultures and showcase them on MLK day as well. The main reason for this day is to promote equal rights for all Americans no matter what their backgrounds are .Roosevelt’s student Wynton Scott said “I enjoy the parade its fun seeing different people from different backgrounds ” ” everyone singing and dancing together that’s what the parade is about coming together “The parade is a yearly event make sure you don’t miss the next one.
