Evil twin had plot to murder sister

In May of 1998, Gina Han was sentenced 26 years to life imprisonment for the plot to murder her own twin sister Sunny. In November, 1996, Gina was convinced Summer had some of her belongings and wouldn’t return them, which is when the murderer plot hatched. Gina, or as the police refereed to her as the “Evil Twin,” didn’t plan to kill on her own; 18-year-old Archie Bryant and 16-year-old John Sayarath were involved in the plot. Prosecutors at the time said Gina had been telling people for days that she wanted her sister dead and was trying to recruit someone to help her do it.
The partners-in-crime made their way into Sunny’s house. Sunny heard the boys come in on her roommate, Helen Kim, and pulled out her cellphone to call 911 before the two teens barged into the room to tie her up. “But for Sunny Han miraculously having a cell phone on her person when Gina Han’s accomplices stormed the apartment, this would have most certainly been a first degree murder, if not a double-homicide,” prosecutors wrote opposing Han’s release.
“I am deeply sorry for everything that has happened,” she said in a soft voice. “I am truly sorry.” The woman said that “despite the circumstances, I had absolutely no intent to kill my twin sister. Sunny is my flesh and blood.” While in custody Gina tried to take her own life with sleeping pills. “I just want my sister to know that I love her very much,” she said.
