The new Netflix original series Big Mouth, released on September 29th, 2017, captures the awkward stages of Junior High romance, drama,  puberty – which is the main focus of the show – in a funny and extremely raunchy way!

With the sudden presence of hormone monsters, one for the boys and one for the girls, they torture and strangely befriend the kids as they take them on the journey of puberty. The show revolves around the lives of 7th graders, Nick (Nick Kroll), Andrew Glouberman (John Mulaney), Elliot Birch (Fred Armisen), Jessi Glaser (Jessi Klein), Jay Bilzerman (Jason Mantzoukas), and Missy (Jenny Slate.)

Andrew and Nick are best friends with their friendship being an emotional rollercoaster when Maury starts coming around Andrew, leaving him to be a raging ball of hormones. Nick, having more interest in the social aspect of Junior High due to his more outgoing personality, is the complete opposite of his best friend Andrew, who starts the show being shy and to himself. Nick struggles to understand Andrew’s changes since he hasn’t yet gotten to meet his own Maury.

Jessi Glaser has her own set of issues, like those on the second episode of the show when  she gets her first visit from “mother nature” while on a school trip, in white shorts! The show follows the struggle of every girls emotional and physical changes that are sure to make the audience crack up about the terrible experiences every girl goes through.

Big Mouth, despite it’s extreme and inappropriate representations of puberty, is sure to suck the views in and is definitely a show to Binge!
