How to Forge the Key of Success: Tips!

Kevin Ta, Staff Writer

There are a lot of students here at Roosevelt, and within that, there are a lot of stressed and exhausted students. Some causes of stress are personal however the some results show since a lot of students like to complain to one and other how tired or stress they are. There are things you can do to reduce or alleviate those issues even if it’s just a little bit, here are some of them:

Get enough sleep

“Without enough sleep, we all become tall two-year olds” -Jojo Jensen

This is perhaps the most important advice, develop a schedule where you can include enough sleep so that waking up and staying awake in class isn’t a pain. Sleep is crucial to staying concentrated in class which will surely result in better grades. Not only that, but you feel rejuvenated when you wake up instead of feeling like a drag.

Manage your time

Develop a well thought out plan to guide you with your daily life. Schedule how long dinner, homework, entertainment will take so that you can breeze through them smoothly.  Of course, differentiate priorities with unimportant things. For example, if you need to allot more time towards homework, don’t sacrifice sleep or dinner but sacrifice entertainment time instead. It stings, but that’s what you should do.

Don’t fall behind or learn to quickly recover

It’s no doubt that we all make mistakes, and those mistakes can quickly escalate to a disaster. It’s crucial to learn how to recover quickly from those mistakes, if you’re absent, immediately speak to your teacher the next day and make-up those assignments. Take advantage of the opportunity of extra credit or the option to make up test if you score poorly because in college, a lot of professors don’t allow students to makeup tests.

Ultimately if you can adapt and follow these tips, the results will be positively evident.
