Kevin Federline, an American dancer, actor, and former rapper, recently released a memoir book called “You Thought You Knew.” It revealed his side of marriage to the iconic popstar Britney Spears from October 6, 2004 to July 30, 2007. Together, they had two children named Sean Preston and Jayden James. Sean being 20 while Jayden is currently 19.
In the memoir, Federline wrote “I was in Miami for work, trying to stay focused on my commitments, and I got a call. It was her, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan on the line, drunk as hell, begging me to come over. I could hear Preston and Jayden crying in the background. It had to be three or four in the morning. That call was the final straw.”
Federline explained that while that wasn’t the first time an incident like that had happened, it was the one that stuck to him the most. Claiming it was his final straw.
Britney was well known to party late at nights, partaking in drugs during her party days during the 2000s. In her own memoir, “The Woman in Me,” she has claimed to take ADHD medication Adderall. However, Spears’ lawyer had revealed that she missed 8 of 14 court-ordered drug tests and that a missed test was counted as a failed test.
Many others have claimed to witness’s her drug use as well, along with Kevin Federline claiming he witnessed Spears use cocaine.
Federline stated “But hearing my kids crying while she was doing God-knows-what? That was it.”
Federline claimed she often drank alcohol while pregnant, partying late at nights with the young children, receiving late night calls where she was often under the influence that he reported made him feel “crushed.”
The story Federline claimed was the last straw was also previously written about by Spears in her 2023 memoir. Spears claimed at the time she was staying with her mother at a beach house, who was watching over Preston and Jayden while she went out with Hilton and Lohan.
Both estranged partners recall the night differently, and whether which one is true is unknown. Spears’ representative has reported back claiming Federline was simply attempting to make a profit off of her and her story.
“I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys,” Spears wrote.
Federline, however, made a claim that Spears had called her son Preston while he was on vacation in Hawaii with his girlfriend’s family. They had spoken and then their conversation got heated, as she blamed Federline, her father, and more family members for her “problems.”
Preston had spoken against his mother and argued against her own claims, as Federline stated in his memoir. Spears told Preston in response that she wished him, his brother, and Federline were dead.
Britney Spears is an iconic 2000’s pop star, and Eleanor Roosevelt junior, Leanne Ziherambere, is a fan of her music.
“I like her music,” Ziherambere stated. “I liked seeing her on TV when I was young, and I like to keep up with her to this day. Britney has had some controversial moments but overall I think she’s a good person with bad choices.”
Spears once was a flourishing young artist in the music industry. And like all young artists, they start off clueless in a new world. Spears has had some “controversial moments” as Ziherambere has stated, and its true. Fans still stick by her side, defending her and claiming she was young and naive during those times.
Kevin Federline had won full custody of their sons, and both of their sons have claimed they no longer visit their mother because of unknown reasons Federline did not disclose to the public.
