One of the top sports games in the world is EA SPORT’s FC video game series, and this year they are releasing EA SPORTS FC 26. In this new edition, many game play features were fixed and some new things were added, like better dribbling and competitive and authentic game play. Glitches that occurred in the past games, like not really being able to defend free kicks, have been reported as fixed.
FC 25 cover athlete Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid is back this year along with new cover athlete Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala. They honestly look very cool together on the cover.
Another new addition in EA SPORTS FC 26 is that the Messi character is now one rating higher than Ronaldo. Messi is 86 rated, while Ronaldo is only 85. Messi fans are happy about this change, while Ronaldo fans might have issue with it.
Nick Wlodyka of EA SPORTS FC shared in a press release what they’ve worked on and fixed in this new game.

“From overhauled gameplay in FC 26 that’s driven by player feedback, we’re co-creating a global soccer community that is more expressive, dynamic, and committed than ever before,” Wlodyka said in the press release.
Freshmen Selah Barrett shared what she thinks of FC 26.
“FC 26 looks like a very cool game,” Barrett said. “There are many improvements from FC 25, and FC 26 seems like it’s going to be even more smooth, engaging, and captures even more of the similarities of real soccer.”
I remember the first EA SPORTS FC game I played, which was back when EA still had rights to FIFA and it was called FIFA instead of FC, in 2021. EA SPORTS FIFA 22 featured the cover athlete as Kylian Mbappe when he was with Paris Saint-Germain. I did not really like soccer back then, but I recently played it again and was reminded that the video game is what got me into soccer and is the reason I love the sport. So I hope FC 26 is even more fun and engaging and brings even more fans to the sport.
